Savage County is described as a tribute to The Texas Chainsaw Massacre with "great indie rock and rockabilly music and a twist of teen drama." -Shocktillyoudrop.com Shot in Memphis during the summer of 2009, Savage County marks MTV's latest venture into the horror genre. The episodic web series was directed by David Harris and produced by David Gale (Varsity Blues) and Craig Brewer (Hustle and Flow) as part of MTV's New Media Division. Leading the cast is Mimi Michaels (Boogeyman 3). The Mad Hillbilly Slasher Series splashes onto the web in early 2010.
