Movie: Newest Additions
Here, you can find the latest cd's for your favorite local band or music artist.
  Craig Brewer: Black Snake Moan
When ex-blues musician Lazarus (Samuel L. Jackson) finds the town nymphomaniac Rae (Christina Ricci) left for dead on the side of the road he vows to nurse her back to health and cure her of her wickedness. Until then she ll be chained to the immovable radiator in his home. But Lazarus has demons of his own: his wife just left him for his own brother. While Lazarus and Rae struggle to fix their broken lives the situation threatens to explode as Rae's boyfriend Ronnie (Justin Timberlake) a roughneck soldier just back from Iraq comes searching for his missing lover.
  Craig Brewer: Hustle & Flow
DJay is a Memphis hustler who spends most days in a parked Chevy philosophizing about life while Nola (Taryn Manning), turn tricks in the backseat. He's not very good at pimping, but he can hustle almost anything or anyone and makes enough to keep himself and three girls satisfied and housed in his shotgun home. DJay however is in the midst of a midlife crisis; he quietly harbors dreams of becoming a respected rapper. When he learns from a local club owner, Arnel (Isaac Hayes), that rap mogul Skinny Black (Ludacris), is rolling through town, DJay decides to record his flow with the hopes of slipping his demo to Skinny. With little help from his friends and "family" DJay sets in motion the hustle of his life, and galvanizes the lives of those around him as they learn that "Everybody's gotta have a dream."
  Kentucker Audley: Team Picture
From Memphis to Chicago to somewhere in Arkansas, Kentucker Audley's homegrown debut TEAM PICTURE is a deadpan comic odyssey about that moment before adulthood when you don't need an excuse to quit your job, only the next five minutes matter, and sometimes you fall for the wrong girls... shucks!

Praised as one of Filmmaker Magazine's 25 New Faces of Independent Film, Audley stars as an aimless young musician who passively floats through his own life, most days spent writing songs or lounging by the kiddie pool in the yard. Along with his self-proclaimed "tall guy with a really cool personality" of a roommate (Timothy Morton), these awkwardly hilarious neo-slackers just go with the flow, even in the throes of a break-up, a brand new fling, or an open-mic performance. The Boston Phoenix calls it "a lazy, Memphis afternoon of a movie... TEAM PICTURE creates a world and the lives in it and wisely leaves them all hanging.
Morgan Jon Fox: Blue Citrus Hearts
Blue Citrus Hearts is the story of a boy who loves a boy. Sam and Julian are high school best friends full of vibrant teen angst. This is their bittersweet tale of moving poetry and the unique experience of boy love in Memphis. Sam s struggle against an abusive father his oblivious girlfriend and thoughts of suicide clash while his affection deepens for Julian. This first love high school romance is as beautiful as the unexpected shooting star at the end
  Morgan Jon Fox: Away (A)wake
Four disparate characters wander the streets of Memphis in search of love and enlightenment in this independent picture from Morgan Jon Fox (BLUE CITRUS HEARTS). A grandmother a gay teen a college boy and a homeless man all avoid sleep for four days in an attempt to learn what it means to be awake.
William Eggleston: William Eggleston In the Real World
In 1976, William Eggleston’s hallucinatory, Faulknerian images were featured in the Museum of Modern Art’s first one-man exhibition of color photographs. It is rare for an artist of such stature to allow himself to be shown as unguarded as Eggleston does in Michael Almereyda’s intimate portrait. The filmmaker tracks the photographer on trips to Kentucky, LA and NY, but gives particular attention to downtime in Memphis, Eggleston’s home base. The film shows a deep connection between Eggleston’s enigmatic personality and his groundbreaking work.
Lil Film Fest: Li'l Film Fest 8
The theme of Li'l Film Fest 8 is RESOLUTIONS, you know, the New Year's kind. I know, I know, you will cut back on the partying and staying out so late, you will exercise more and loose weight, you will remember to call your mother on her birthday, you will stop watching so much television, you will eat more veggies, and of course you'll spend more time with the dog. But surely you can manage to squeeze in a few hours to make a film, right...?

Please read aloud:
"I resolve to make a film for Li'l Film Fest 8. I will capitalize on this unique opportunity to hone and improve my filmmaking abilities. I will have fun while contributing to the success of the Memphis filmmaking community. I resolve to make a film for Li'l Film Fest 8."
