Arts Memphis TV - Stephen Len White

Stephen Len White is an opera performer and voice teacher in the Memphis area.

Appearing in his first opera at the early age of 15, Stephen recalls, "It's all I ever really wanted to do."  After that first time he was hooked and soon left Memphis to study in New York.  It was there that he landed multiple touring gigs, including Phantom of the Opera and Lord of the Rings, which took him all over the United States and Europe.

Although he still performs in other parts of the country, including New York, Stephen eventually decided to base himself in his hometown, and he couldn't be happier.  Over the past few years he has worked with various organizations in Memphis including Memphis Vocal Arts Ensemble and Opera Memphis.  Currently he is a soloist at Christ United Methodist Church and has also been known to bring Opera to the people with occasional performances at Macaroni Grill in Cordova.  He teaches vocal lessons at Germantown Baptist and Christ United Methodist.
