Valerie June made Downtown Memphis even more memorable with her Mobile Music Machine performance!

Round 4 of the Mobile Music Machine featured a Memphis favorite, Valerie June. After the usual stops at some outdoor patios, the MMM visited the RiverArtsFest preview party but the BIG draw of the night was definitely THe Orpheum Theatre as people waited outside to see Memphis: The Musical. In fact, ushers had to draw the onlookers in to get the show started!

There was even a surprise duo act as a saxophonist joined Valerie for a song in front of Flight.

It was a great night and not only was Valerie a great musical guest but also storyteller. The history behind her music, her experiences, and even talk of cornbread and pies makes for an entertaining evening. Thanks Valerie!
