Opus One featuring Al Kapone

I've never seen so many old white people singing along to "Whoop That Trick!"
Freaking awesome night!
At the beginning of the year I was in San Francisco and went to a concert that was their version of Opus One. Going in, I was like kewl... this will be like Opus One. ...fat chance. The orchestra was fine but the whiny indie rocker was so safe and boring that I had to resist the urge to just up and leave. San Francisco has absolutely nothing on Memphis' Opus One.
My first Opus One was with Susan Marshal whose dynamic, soulful voice is a rare experience anywhere. My second was with Harlan T Bobo. His song-writing and stage presence is real rock and the exact opposite of safe. My third Opus was with freaking AL Kapone! I mean how can the Symphony get more crunk than that? U-Dig dancers? I have no idea how they intend to top that.
I will probably say this till the day I die... Memphis, you have no idea how insanely cool your city really is.
Props to everyone.
Memphis Symphony Orchestra featuring Memphis Hip Hop Superstar Al Kapone at the world famous New Daisy Theatre in Downtown Memphis, TN. Joined by Special guests and U-DIG Dancers!
FYI, my recording doesn't give this show justice. I tried to talk Jeff Powell out of his recordings but alas, he needs some $$$ to mix it.
That's a hint for you rich people out there.
